Salvage title but seems like a decent deal to me.

What’s one of these like to drive? As much as I’ve enjoyed driving an S2000 the acceleration is definitely a bit underwhelming.

the 140HP 1ZZ is not going to feel like an improvement over the 240HP F20C/F22

NP, but that toyota is more like Miata power, it will never be S2000 power.

It’ll drive like a Miata, possibly with a bit better acceleration since it weighs about 200 lbs less thanks to using McPherson strut suspension all around instead of double wishbones. It also has twitchier handling near the limits and eats tires more quickly than a Miata due to said suspension setup and the engine's location .

Decent price. Definitely look around the front end for repairs. It will be much slower than an S2000, but a very different experience in a much lighter car

These came out back when I owned my NB Miata. A friend was finance manag er at the local Toyota dealer.  I inquired as to how they would compare, he said the Miata was hands down far superior.
