Did you know that anyone 16 (most states)
and older can be an election poll worker here in the US. It even pays. Regardless of your politics, making sure that those who able can vote is a cornerstone of our country. Many polling stations are run by retirees, but this year that may not be the best option. So, please think about being a poll worker.

I worked with a couple Raider players, one was a personal trainer for the driver. Another was on the pit crew, he could lift those nitrogen bottles like I could lift a pint. Impressive.

I believe the last time I saw a football game was 1984, lots of 49er fans in Hawaii. I worked on the Super Bowl in SF this recent time and I had no idea who any of the players were, I hadnt even heard of one of the teams. I was covering all the walls and people kept telling me who they were. That was not a good show, it rained the whole install and I had to do the exterior for the fan experience and NFL merch center...

I played as a kid, but Im not one to spend the day watching football, and maybe see 4 games in a season, including the Super Bowl. I have better things to do and can catch the highlights if I feel so inclined.
Im sure many people who attend these big events have zero clue the preparation efforts made to make the show pop. They see it, it all looks spectacular, but the efforts to make it all happen doesnt register in their mind. Working outdoors sucks at times, especially if you happen to be wet all day.
The graphics business is a major part of professional sports, and part of the the massive entertainment industry. It creates the setting, provides the information, the style and branding of a team or event.
