the doors on these things cant be opened if the lectrickery faults out
just as hard to get out of as it is tp get in apparently
it was about 35c today where he decided to break down...and coz that driver is one lucky fucker his engine also packed up...so no airco
the firebrigade had to hose the van down to keep it cool for an hour or so till a tech could get the van working enough to open the doors again.... coz... no breaky the armored vehicle to get a mere employee out i guess
anyhoo...seems like there should at least be an emergency way to open a door manually from the inside in case of emergency... i mean shit...its only money

It’s amazing to me how failures in electrical systems can result in people being trapped in cars. This seems like Engineering 101: don’t design something where a control system failure in an otherwise non-emergency situation can kill people.

tbh.... i thought having a manual over ride on the inside was a legal requirement...
but i guess thats just walk in freezers...not everything

This is what happens when one voice screams the loudest in a meeting. I get the need for security in an armored vehicle, but maybe a manual latch would be a nice addition?

Why don’t you simply make a mechanical means of opening it from the inside ? I can see why you wouldn’t want one from the outside, but geez. This is stupid.

i can... tbh..theres been at least 2 other cases of this happening here...so its a known issue
i think that says something about how the company views employee safety versus valuables safety

That just makes sense that a door would have a fail safe mechanical pull from the inside.
Psht. I’ll have none of that on my interwebs.
