Absolutely bonus points for doggo, and that half-track plow is amazing and I want one.

Dog is good, but Lego Frenchie would be better:

Also available in full-on stereotype:

Alas, I do not have a Lego frenchie. Best I can do is Lego husky.

That DS is amazing! I really have enjoyed these photo dumps.

Are most of these your own designs?

Thank you! And yes. Although a couple of these are based on models from Legoland Miniland that I reverse-engineered, and the Ranchero was based off of a Starsky and Hutch ‘75 Torino design I found on Flickr, and I just designed a new rear end for it to make it a Ranchero. The DS is an odd case of a design that’s custom, but seemingly very common in that everyone has their own take on it, so I actually don’t know who originally designed it. Th is is just my version.

It is brilliant and the car is so curvy that Lego is a difficult medium. The DS is just fantastic. You do seem to have your own spin on everything. Are most of these kind of old or have you just been really Lego happy lately?

Most of these photos were taken long before I was even on Oppo, I’ve just been going through them and posting any that I think are worth posting. However, I am starting a new project, and a pretty big one. Actually I’ve been trying to start it for weeks but until these things actually get started it’s hard to make progress... I’ve at least figured out the dimensions, so there’s that.

Dimensions. . . must be pretty big then.

16 studs wide and a little under a foot long , give or take. So fairly large by my standards. Scale was determined by the size of the wheels I decided to use. If all goes according to plan, it should look a little something like this:

Oh! The asymmetrical Mack! Good choice! I can't wait to find out what you do with it. And my goodness you have chosen quite a large scale.

I thought the dilapidated truck was being attacked by some tri-po d virus shaped alien... but I guess scrap yard claw works too. Awesome stuff man! I used to fiddle around in that Lego software too (though I can’t remember the name of it). I certainly was no master builder, but it’s pretty cool!

But thank you! And the software is called Lego Digital Designer. It’s free and you can still get it, but the latest update was several years ago and no longer supported so some of the pieces in the models you see here are no longer available in the program and there are a ton of pieces that are super common and useful now that aren’t available in it. Most people use another free program called Ldraw now, which is run by fans so it’s continually updated with new parts, and also it supports renders! I’ve been meaning to get started with it for some time.
