This is a model I built a few years ago. I think the shape of the “bucket” portion came out great, but something about the chassis is just all wrong. I can’t explain  exactly what it is, but something about it is just not right... Ah, well. It still looks kinda cool.

Maybe the chassis is a tad too long? Maybe move the rear wheels forward? I think the front half is fine. Great job.

This is a great model. I love that engine design. I’m going to have to try to ape that one. As for your thoughts on the frame, it’s a little too long. I think if it was one, possibly two, bumps shorter it would be spot-on.

Awesome! I recently dusted off one my old kits that’s been sitting on a shelf for, no joke, 20+ years

I think what’s missing are some exhaust headers/ pipes

Good point... Also, I think the ride height in the rear is a bit too high, and the track width back there could be a bit wider.

I believe the chrome pipes on the side are the exhaust pipes, and they do connect up to what appear to be exhaust manifolds... Nice model :)

Thank you. I might just have to revisit this one.

I think the track width is fine . It’s tough to judge the ride height in these pictures, because none of them are straight on.  T-Buckets tend to not be super low in general, and the back end is always higher than the front.

Nice one!

It’s mostly just in relation to the body the position of the rear wheels doesn’t look right to me... I dunno. Maybe it’d look better with just a shorter wheelbase.

Ah, I see what you’re saying now.  Yeah, maybe if it went up one plate height, that might look better.

I also think the chassis itself is a bit too tall, and the body should sit lower on it...

Yeah thanks! I meant on yours, though. Addressing your chassis comment, I think your model looks a little narrow. It might need some pipes or zoomies or something to fill out the sides of that engine.

Really looks great though

Ah. I agree, mine really needs exhaust pipes.

Do they even produce those clear 1x2 bricks anymore?

Yes, but not the version with a tube down the center.
