"Full of the sound of the Gran Fury, signifying nothing." (granfury)

This arrived in a box of electronic junk I purchased. It feels heavy, like a battery. I’m guessing that it’s for a bicycle lighting system but I don’t recognize the brand or logo or connector type. Anybody know what I’ve got?

Awesome. Thanks for the info. Like a lot of junk in this lot, this battery isn’t something I can use. There were a few other things included that weren’t even in the description, like some ancient headphones and a fancy underwater camera, that will need to be purged as well. Between the Airport Express and nice Logitech mouse I think I’ve got my money’s worth.

You could try salvaging the battery or batteries out of it, they are likely 18650s which can be useful for other things. Are you selling the Logitech?

Also, I totally found my Garmin, it’s a 65LMT I believe it was. I have the traffic power cord for it somewhere, but that will probably be harder to find, I’ll shoot you an email shortly.

I’ll see if anyone wants it intact before I disassemble it. Although I frequently dabble in electronics I really haven’t had a need for 18650s, believe it or not.
I think I’m going to hold on to that mouse. It will require unifying receivers or newer Bluetooth USB receivers on some of my computers (it doesn’t work with the native Bluetooth receiver in my 2011 MacBook Pro, for example). Ordinarily I’d let a wireless mouse go as I really like my 20-year old trackball, but this thing has an amazing feature where it can be paired with three (!) computers simultaneously. Considering how many systems I have running on my desk at once I think I’m going to find this to be an extremely useful feature. Add microUSB charging and I’m sold.
Some of the other things will be purged. I really don’t have a need for a dozen 120V inverters. The camcorder looks interesting, but I already have several Sonys and the have chargers, unlike this Canon. Cable modem with router? Not needed, especially since there were two AC1900 routers in this bundle; one seems to work, but the other one needs a power supply that I don’t have (but just ordered). It has a small coaxial connector that I haven’t seen before.
There were a couple of 48V PoE adapters included. I don’t have an immediate plan for them at the moment since I wasn’t expecting them, but I’m sure I can put them to use somewhere, eventually. The digital picture frame is probably only good for parts since it apparently requires a subscription TO VIEW YOUR OWN PICTURES. On the bright side, there was a 1GB memorystick Duo in it, something that should come in handy on some of my ancient Sony crap.

I can see where you might not need them very often, I’ve found uses for them in rebuilding dead laptop batteries, and I have several flashlights that use them. Heck, I have one light that uses 8 - 18650s.
I can understand wanting to keep the mouse, that was kind of the reason I’ve though about getting one, to use on my desktop and my two Mac Minis that are attached to my bedroom and living room TV.
