Yes, it is. Very impressive and satisfying . Definitely like the Subaru look given that everyone has Brembo.
So brake fluid doesn’t remove the paint he used? The decals stand up to heat? I’m surprised he didn’t use white paint.
And he used red Loc-tite - the calipers didn’t appear to have red Loc-tite originally.
All that
effort he spent grinding and it doesn’t look any more monobloc than it did
originally.

What did he use to clean the bolts?
I couldn’t get a good look at the bottle, but one of the YouTube commenters recognized it as a Bilt Hamber product and suggested that it looks lik e their “ Deox C ”. I think he’s right.

You ever watch Primitive Technology? Same kind of vibe. Interesting and relaxing. Turn the captions on to get more detail.
The video you posted reminds me that I really need to redo the calipers on the Evo. They are looking rough after 17 years.

I believe it is Deox C. Some of his other videos show a similar bottle which you can tell is Deox C.

The old Sumitomo calipers are neat to see compared to the now basically standard issue Brembos. I do wonder about some of his choices, but I’m not here to critique .

I’ll have to give that a watch.
Brakes definitely live a hard life.

I think he makes extra steps to make absolutely sure it’s the best he could make it. Just for peace of mind.
