Way to still have it!!!! I just was going through the paperwork on the E46 as I’m doing a lot of little things on it now that I’m dd ing it. I did the opposite deal... financed 42k on a 34k car over 5 years at 6% lol. That will be 13 years ago in January. I was 22

I didn’t have to pay rent for 9 months when I started my first job, so that really helped with the down payment. I’ve told my GF that it’s not going anywhere and any place I’m going to live has to have a garage or an alternative storage solution.

I was all over the place during the loan period on that car. Had a great job and a side gig when I bought it was laid off when circuit city closed. I had to hustle so hard for a little while to make those loony payments.

The car and the decision to get it completely turned my life around. Met my wife a few months after I got it, kicked off my career and my enthusiasm for the 3 series and pretty much any variant of that NA straight six.

Ya made the right choice. F chassis is cool but it feels like every other fast luxury car.
