One of my slower runs coz GoPro died on the fastest one...Fastest run was like 1.5 seconds faster than this one

Got 4th out of 29 in CAM and 4th overall with raw time out of 145 entrants ...I’ll take it! Also, I was the fastest car that drove there and was not trailer’d :D

I also bed my brakes about 1 mile away from the event venue 15 minutes before we started. Needless to say, they work perfectly well now!

Yeah...Those are always so annoying! We’ll be back next event mostly, its a good venue, fast but bad surface so its tricky

I always like seeing someone hustling a corvette, back in my auto crossing days it was a 50/50 if the corvette driver was even going to squeal the tires a little. It gave me the impression That either corvette drivers suck at driving or corvettes are really slow.

There were some Vettes out there that were really slow...But 7 out of the top 10 raw times were Corvettes. They (C5, C6 at least) are actually quite forgiving and easy cars to drive hard imo, mine being on coilovers makes it more managable.

My era the C4 and C3 were what was out there. The C5 has to be such a huge improvement for handling over the C4.

Not sure about that...Speaking of C3, a friend is likely buying a 454 C3 in the next couple of weeks. I have been letting him co drive my C5 since his C5 got rear ended and salvaged.

So, I get to do some codrives in a big horsepower C3! I’ll let Oppo know how it feels

My goal is to be the fastest Vette at the event , I knew that was impossible there with the cars that showed up so I was going for the podium. Alas I missed by 0.7 sec....

Yep, its been the fastest Vette at every other event its been to.

Time is lost by both to the fastest vettes imo. If I gave the car to the guy who won yesterday to drive, he would’ve cut 1sec off of my time for sure (I was 1.7 sec behind him). But also, the car is basically stock with coilovers and bushings. The 3 faster cars were running wider tires, around 200whp more than me and much much better brakes....

I figured the others were probably just built more aggressively besides a little more driver experience. You still looked like you were having a lot of fun though.

The guy who won has been autcrossing for about 20 years now, he has a C5Z06 with 4500 miles on it. All of them autocross miles, he bought the car new...

It was a lotta fun!
