I like the fact it’s hanging on a forester.

Brass would be too expensive.

I saw these outside a training conference. Given that they were held on with thin rope I’m betting it was a limited time gag.

Sigh. Because the bolts holding the chains together could NEVER come apart and send a (probably three pound) hunk of metal hurtling through someone’s windshield at speed, right?
I mean, I get it. It’s mildly funny, and certainly less offensive than an anatomically correct sack (complete with veins) hanging from the trailer hitch. But do people just not THIN.....never mind. Of course people don’t think. Because ‘Murica .
Ok, I’m done shouting at clouds now.

Those are Grade 5 bolts (though probably Gr. 2 nuts) and galvanized chain, so it would take a bit of effort to get them loose. But yeah: what’s the point?

The whole idea is still crude, but I kinda like this interpretation. It better suits the mechanical nature of cars.

I mean, if you really gotta have nuts hanging off the back of your car, I guess this would be the least objectionable way to go.

Exactly, somebody would castrate their truck for the scrap value. Nobody wants that.

I presume they're making fun of actual truck nuts, which I approve of.
