If they brought in the roof in addition to the bottom that'd probably be a lot more secure and probably easier on the body since I'm fairly sure these are unibody and the bottom of the connection is quite a bit above where they're designed to have a trailer receiver..

right - some beefy frame rails well into the structure of the van. It’s not sagging/bowing at all.
