Lets settle this once and for all!

Which OPPOnaut has the LEAST amount of HP, both “ When N ew Engine HP" and estimated (actual engine HP )

I’ll go first:

1995 Rally Rolls-Royce (XV10) features a S-Line 4 cylinder. Specifically, the 5S-LE 2.2L that was rated at an Earth shattering:

130 HP !!!!!!

After the original owner put 10 0k calm miles on it and my 40k mostly WOT race car miles, I think it’s at around:

95?-100 HP !!!

So what’s up yall!

Who dare challenges !?!?

I used to own a Nissan 720 that had 107 hp out of a 4 cylinder (27hp per cylinder) . My Caprice Wagon has a 305 in it producing 165hp (or 20.5hp per cylinder).

V60 - 240 hp (60hp per cylinder)

El Camino - 300ish (37.5 hp per cylinder)

My 1986 Dodge Ram started out with 105hp in 1986 with a curb weight of 3599lbs.

I would estimate that at least half of those horses have escaped and the ones that remain look like this:

The Jankwagen has the B230F motor , and the F is important. That F means it’s a low compression engine, which derates it from a thunderous 130 HP to a measly 114 HP. Mind you these ratings only applied   33 years and 228k miles ago.

As it currently sits, the motor mounts are so bad it’s probably losing half that horsepower just in engine rock. I t’s also got a clogged PCV and damaged front cam seal , and other unknown maladies. Th e car literally will not pull outside of 3rd gear/40 MPH . I’m thinking it’s currently making something in the neighborhood of 40-50 HP.

It was at pretty low speeds so not life threatening.

I grew up on a lake in rural northern Minnesota, where to access our home (and a few other neighbors), you had to take a fairly narrow windy road that had a steep drop off one one side, and a sharp incl ine on the other.

O ne morning in February after it had snowed about 6 inches, I’m on my way to school, driving fairly slow on the windy part of the road. A s I’m coming around a right hander, where visibility is blocked around the bend by the fairly vertical hill, the garbage truck is coming around directly at me. Th e problem is, he’s hugging the inside of the road, which is not where he is supposed to be. By the time we saw each other, it was too late. We both slid, and ended up meeting head on. My poor little civic was pushed dire ctly backwards about 100 feet but the nose of the dump truck, mostly because the road was so slippery from the fresh snow.

I was 16 at the time, so being made of rubber and jelly, I was completely fine. No injuries at all. The truck driver literally thought he had killed me, and it messed him up so bad he ended up quitting a few months later, which I feel bad for. Like I said I was fine.

The scary/funny thing (depending on how you look at it) is that the top of my Civic bumper didn’t even come up to the bottom of the garbage truck’s, s o the impact went di rectly into my grille/headlight area, and taco’d the hood, and destroyed the top of the motor.

Had the road not been snowy and slick, I fear the outcome would have been way worse, either that or it wouldn’t have happened at all, since we would have been able to stop in time.

Current cars: the L eaf has 107 electroponies rated, and I guess still has them - can’t see why electric motors should lose power with age. The Kubota has 21 but I guess once you allow tractors you have to allow ride- ons and P ower wheels, and then where will it end?

Ever: My R enault 4 had a tire -shredding 34 when new, and considering it had a blown head gasket most of the time I owned it, probably a lot less in practice. And that was the bourgeoisie 1100cc version - if I’d bought the 845 like proper peasants drove, it’d have been a lot less.

The 6 gears and adequate torque make 136 hp feel neither dangerously slow nor annoying slow but just the right kind of slow. It doesn't rev at all though and there is a noticable delay from foot to the floor to power coming through.

Mileage is good, but could be better.
