A dramatic reenactment of me taping boxes
My family volunteered at the Capital Area Food Bank today, and the task set out for the volunteers was to fill boxes with food for senior citizens. But before the food could be put into the boxes, the boxes had to be assembled. Mrs. Ttyymmnn and I volunteered for that task, and between the two of us we folded and taped at least 600 boxes in about 2.5 hours. My shoulders and forearms and hands are rather sore right now. Time for a beer and an ibuprofen.

That sounds like poor working conditions to me

I once worked at a high volume photo lab , often working at the feeding station. I had to tape the end of the negative onto a feeder card and stuff it into the machine. After a few days at it, I found repeatedly pulling tape off the roll really made my finger sore. I found leaving a piece on my finger really helped.

We had to wear rubber gloves, and I put thick cotton gloves on over that. It’s kind of hot, but it beats ripping the rubber gloves up and getting new ones all afternoon.
