This Alfa dealer near my place has clearly been struggling. They were always a used car dealer (trucks and jeeps) that happened to sell Alfas. All the cars are gone now...like all of them.
Now there is only one car left in their whole lot....and with the rear tow hook like that and plates on it, I don’t think it arrived there by choice.
Back in the good days:
And, prior to being an Alfa dealer, they sold Fiats (used RAMs)...so clearly the owner has a very keen business sense!

I really wonder if maybe Stellantis should consider spinning off or selling Alfa Romeo and Maserati, they really don’t add anything to the bottom line, and don’t sell the kind of vehicles that the company is increasingly reliant on for their future growth, nor have much parts and engineering commonality with ones that do.
The company has too many brands to adequately support all of them, like RJ Reynolds, unlike RJ Reynolds, Stellantis can’t just hide the ones they don’t care about behind a Newport sign.
Both seem peripheral at best to their corporate strategy, but both are iconic and clearly have some value, hell, they're both probably worth more detached from the rest of Stellantis. An executive leadership team and sales force dedicated exclusively to growing those brands and only those brands would get better results.

The Alfa dealer near me also sells Maserati and Fiats. There is never anyone near the place. They just spent a bunch of cash redoing the whole place too. Used to be a fish monger.

It’s an Italian family business and that’s all you need to know about that, so just keep walking, college boy.

For the record, I would have visited that dealership like monthly with clutch replacements jobs.... but no. They decided Manuals are for people who are not us.
Enjoy the bustle

During the last big economic downturn, the same happened at many dealerships in the town I lived. VW, Buick/GMC, Mazda, Hyundai, Ford, Kawsaki, Honda/Yamaha all gone within a few months. Surr ounding towns suffered similar losses. As a mecha nic, you were hard pressed to find any decent paying job. Even the quicky lube places were s low. People don’t spend money on vehicles when they are worried about paying for food and keeping a roof over their heads.

The silver lining to that: at least people were being slightly responsible with their money?

It’s an offshoot of Maple Ridge Chrysler so I bet they’re all on that lot. So, here’s a perfect example of the problem with buying a Cadillac or Alfa ...the dealership.
No, Mr. Ram salesman, I don’t want a 54" TV, trip to Vegas and $50k line of credit with my Stelvio, thanks.

Oh! I didn’t know they were linked, but that makes sense. S ometimes you get different dealers selling the same stuff even in close proximity (see Willowbrook Chrysler & Langley Chrysler )
I went Jeep shopping at Maple Ridge recently. Very gross feeling atmosphere

Oh man...it’s very cringworthy there. So much so that we went to Pioneer to do the lease buyout on the Wrangler because we knew if we went to the local guys we’d have to waste half a day while they tried to upsell us into a new model instead of the lease buyout .

That place couldn’t scream COCAINE more loudly if their entire inventory were white Testarossa’s. I’d put money on there being a measurable amount in the building at any given time and if a trafficking
bust were to hit the news with that place at the center my only response
would be “I told ya so”

The one by Science World looks exactly the same! I tried to book a test drive for a Giulia Quadrifoglio, but Alfa’s own site says there are exactly zero in inventory anywhere...

I distinctly remember waking up to go to high school and if it wasn’t music or Jeff O’Neil then it’d be Ian yelling at me from the radio “Come’on down to Maple Ridge Chrysler; We’re closer than you think”

One of those giant FIAT logos would be an amazing garage piece...especially if it was backlit!

I didn’t even realize that that lot changed from FCA to an Alfa dealership, and I live only a few minutes from it.

Im sure the location (City it is in and actual location) did not help. I haven’t seen any Alfas on the road around here in a long while.
