Kinja'd!!!

Slept in since I was awake most of the night. Now it’s the return of optical migraines. I always worry that it’s something more severe, but so far it’s just the visual disturbances. I’d like to read, but obviously my eyes aren’t working, or at least not the right one.

I tried to do my usual filing for my unemployment claim, but the login page is giving me a 404 error. Uh oh. With any luck they know about it and are working on a fix. I can last a week or so if there’s a delay, but I’d really prefer that this doesn’t happen.

I think I’ll go back upstairs and listen to some YouTube videos. I really don’t like trying to move or do anything requiring any level of dexterity when my eyes are bugging out...

I got migraines on occasion, and it sucks. So I feel for you. Take it easy and I hope you feel better soon.

Oh man, that sux.   I take ibuprofen for mine....I kinda think, for me, they’re tied to inflammation or some shit. Tylenol doesn’t touch em.

I feel for you. I get one or two migraines a year (inheritance from my mother). Never got visual impairment though. That sounds harsh. My side benefit is severe nausea and vomiting. Feel better soon.

Done the ocular migraine thing twice. First time was really weird since I had no idea what it was, it happened when I was driving (fortunately as I was in front of my apartment, so I didn’t have to go far to get home), and I couldn’t research it because I wasn’t really able to read.

I used to get those. About the time I turned 50 they just stopped.

Oh yeah, I hate those. At my best, I’ve gone 6 or 7 years in between. At my worst, I wa s having 10 or more a week. For me, it’s absolutely stress related.

So metimes an ice pack to the back of the head works, but if yours are like mine, it's passed by now.

Once or twice a year I get a really bad migraine to where I have to take some excedrin and go take a nap. I can’ t stand any light or sound.

It must be that time of year - I am on day 3 of a migraine :-(

My condolences. I’ve been there, and was even hauled out of the office by ambulance when I came in to work on day three of a migraine. My boss took one look at me and called 911...

Yeah, I’ve been sent home in a taxi by work because of how I looked during a migraine.  Better meds available these days, but sometimes they can only mitigate the symptoms and not actually stop the migraine - this is one of those ones :-(
