Ever since the new photo copyright rules appeared, I’ve been whining about the need for a bulk edit.

I thought I’d be whining forever, but sure enough, someone figured it out.

Tap/click on the photo, select the © icon at the top or the yellow text at the bottom and use that form to fill out the required information. I use “In-house art” for the first drop-down, the rest is pretty straightforward.

Unfortunately, when I do my aviation history posts, I have 20+ photos but they’re all from different sources. If this works, it will definitely help with photo dumps.

That reminds me of the very first weather report.

Even with different sources to credit , I expect the “ap ply all” wi ll at least still be useful for priming each image with copyright and image type, so that all that’s left to do is change the name on each pic . I’ll have to try it on my next JRitS roundup.

I know, but I’m a scholar at heart. Credit where it is due and all that. A great many of the shots are US military, thus free to use. All along, I’ve included links to the photographers at Wiki, both to give credit and to indicate that they are fair use. I’ve already altered the old posts, and it’s not that much of a deal to follow the process with new posts. It’s more of an annoyance than a deal breaker.

Possible solution: instead of using Kinja’s attribution system , just paste the links of all the sources at the bottom of your post (sounds like you’ve already done this some) . Seems like it would be quicker and less annoying.

I did that at first, but it’s clumsy, and I want the posts to look as good as possible within the restrictions of Kinja’s editor. Which, I must say, is really pretty good. I’m just rolling with the punches. In fact, I’ve got to get some writing done today!
