Got an emblem this past weekend. My Google-Fu appears to be weak at this time and I can’t figure it out. Last time I had an !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! to identify, Oppo delivered big time.
The back surface is completely flat with 3 threaded mounting points. It appears to be in the form of a propeller with a V8. Is it from a car, a plane, perhaps just an old JC Whitney style add-on?

Propeller makes me think Beemer or Saab.

The V8 like that is usually a Ford thing, but that probably doesn’t mean anything.

I did some goggling but couldn’t come up with anything. On about the third search, the picture from your post showed up and I thought I had found something. It does look an awful lot like the Spyker logo, and it could even be the badge off of a toy car, you never know.

The font/typography appears more European than American. I would also guess that this is from before WWII. Anything afterwards would have rockets and not propellers. 1930s emblems seemed to have more color in them, but I can’t rule out that decade.

Not an exact match, but very close. Got it googling Ford Wire Wheel. Suspect it's aftermarket, because it would be easy to find if it was factory??

Well, I’ve done a whole lot of goggling and I keep coming up empty. I’m beginning to think that it’s nothing in particularly, and instead just some sort of design or adornment. I did come across this website, and it seems to me that if anybody would know, it would be this guy.

I think you nailed it. I did a lot of googling, and didn’t turn up any car badge. Which led me to believe that it wasn’t a car badge, but I never thought about wheel covers.

That is close! I never thought about it being a hubcap. I also think it’s too small though with the center only being 3" across whereas most of those old wheels had 4-6" centers at least. Also it has to be screwed on with bolts which wouldn’t make sense for a hubcap. Visually it is by far the closest though.

That seems like a good resource. I’m thinking it is off something non automotive, maybe a wagon or something.
