I’ll take a base model 2 door
with the 2.3, 7 speed manual
, high-clearance suspension, and front and rear lockers. Although it doesn’t look like cruise or AC are options for the base...of course.

No AC or cruise, you can go party with CoFL.
MSRP: 40K, Dealer price: 55K

My Raider already has no cruise, and broken AC. I can’t very well replace it with a way more expensive truck that also has neither.
And yeah...these are gonna get marked up like mad

2.3 with a 7-speed manual? That’s at least 1 gears too many.

N o AC or cruise, what is this 1990?
Did they just pickup where they left off, on the outgoing model, for the options list and then add a bunch of techy stuff, so they could charge a bunch extra, cuz it’s cool?

What, no S A S Q U A T C H package? That comes with the locking diffs, fender flares and massive 315/70R17 M/T tires.

6 forward plus a crawler gear.

Hmmmm that does make sense.
![]() 07/13/2020 at 23:05 |

1 super low crawler gear, 4 regular gears, 2 overdrives, I think

I don’t like the look of the
huge flares or the cost of replacing 35s, just the lockers and higher clearance suspension should be plenty. The
16s could take 33s if I really wanted.

I’m not sure about that part, I just
can’t see AC or cruise mentioned anywhere for any trim actually
, which seems wrong

It's 2020. I don't care how "base" a vehicle is. A/C and cruise aren't options anymore, IMO.

Granny, like my Dodge, I ignore 1st unless I need to do something serious.

This one?

Maybe we should assume they're both included by default?

Manual Climate Control - Single Zone
This would be A/C and heat.

The next model up is like $600 more and I think it has A/C and cruise.

Fair enough, I do dig the steelies

Ground clearance:
8.3 inches (Base P255/70R16 ) which is .4" less than Crosstrek , Forester and Outback
11.8 inches (with 35" tire)

I’m guessing they are both standard

From the photos it is labeled R-C-1-2-3-4-5-6. R and C are to the left of 1-2 and there is a lifting lockout collar. So it looks like you actually have to go through the lockout to get to both R & C. So in normal on-road driving it’ll basically just be a 6-speed.

I’d expect AC to be standard, but the base Wrangler has no AC, crank windows and manual locks so maybe they're basing their options off that.

Tried to put photo in previous reply, but, you know, kinja.

For the Base they have a section listing Interior features with “Manual Climate Control - Single Zone” as standard.
In comfort and convenience they have “Steering Wheel with Bronco Badge, cruise and audio controls” which I think would mean Cruise control is standard as well?

I wasn’t sure if climate control meant AC, but I guess it does imply it. Totally missed cruise being mentioned, but yeah that looks like both are standard, that’s awesome
![]() 07/14/2020 at 00:34 |

Looks like it also has cruise standard and I just missed it
![]() 07/14/2020 at 00:43 |

I guess I’m just assuming that’s what they mean. I think they are trying to make a distinction between regular AC and the fancier dual zone, automatic AC on the upper trims?
The upper trims say the same thing on the Cruise Controls on the steering wheel but not separate bullet specifically saying cruise control so I think it’s a safe assumption the base has it. They do have more options for lane assist and the like, though.

That’s with the standard suspension I assume, it lists high clearance suspension as an option. Subarus don’t have low range anymore anyways
