It’s not a 240 actually! It is probably a 280, the big smooth area is where the huge ugly bumpers were deleted, a 240 or early 260 has a different lower area and a thin bumper.

Only 240's have the integrated reverse light. On
260's and 280's the light is separate
.

They change the rear panel , I can tell it’s an aftermarket rear panel, it’s cheaper to buy a later car and do that . I have a 240 and my friend restores them at his shop. There is no other explanation for the bumper delete panel, no point talking about lights if you see the lower rear there is a big patch.
