My older brother recently go a 2004 Volvo S60R. Turbocharged Inline 5 Cylinder, 300hp, AWD; it’s a good time. I helped him remove the stock “Premium” Hu-850 headunit and install a Sony AX5000.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

Crutchfield sells all the easy-install adapter harn esses for Volvo so it was an easy install. The car has a 11 speaker system (1 in the dashboard that gets disabled without the stock HU ) and it actually soudns like it now! Much fuller sound, actual bass hits. I was impressed by the difference.

Also applied Leatherique to the seats. I love this stuff, its magic on old leather, So much soft er and more supple, but it is a several day process.

Personal experience from contemporary Volvo seats. They are comfortable and nearly every Volvo had similar seats.

It's blue. R's never came with black leather.

Wait, did they? I’ve seen a lot of Volvos of that generation and they all had black or tan leather. Never blue. Looking it up, I see it labeled as black/blue, but I still don’t see any blue.

R’s were only available with Nordkap (navy blue), Gobi (tan), and Atacama (natural leather/orangish). All had matching carpet. You can see the carpet in the photo. I promise you it isn't black.

It is absolutely very blue. This is Nordkap blue, it actually looks like a dark blue metallic paint up close. It somehow has depth and sparkle that I’ve never seen on leather.

The shine isn’t entirely from the Leatherique, in fact the whole point of Leatherique is that is doesnt leave a shiny waxy layer. T he color of the dye just pops way more.

My bad. I thought it looked like the standard F ord era black Volvo seats but with weird lighting.
