I know Trump is a germaphobe, but I’m kind of amazed he hasn’t gotten infected yet.

It’s all that hydroxychloroquine he’s been drinking.

I wonder what would happen if Bolsonaro became unable to perform the duties of president du e to his sickness with coronavirus.

It’s in a tablet form. Here’s the package insert— The version from the FDA, anyway.

Here’s the CNN version.

“After being stabbed, I’m not going to be brought down by a little flu” (20 March)

We’ll see if that quote holds up lol

Wonder if Don Jr. managed to avoid infection...

I have a feeling there may be some sort of genetic factor that protects people from infection. My sister sat across a desk with an infected person, no mask, for an hour, and didn’t get infected. One of my bosses SIL got sick at his house after traveling from Israel. Medium sized house with ten kids, no one, including his daughter who was taking care of him, got sick.

The tragic irony here is that he’ll probably be just fine, given that he will get far better treatment than the poor people of his country who live in squalor and have to keep working. This  will just bolster his image and the dialog that it’s just a little flu.

I dunno Boris Johnson was in critical care and he’s younger and the UK likely has a better healthcare system (?)

You mean Lysol?

Oh wait, hydroxy for drinking, Lysol for injecting... right, right, right.

Getting infected is different than getting sick with this virus, of course.

There is a ton of variability: some are “super spreaders”, and some, seemingly, have an ability to not get infected (or fight it off easily if they are exposed).

My wife had the flu earlier this year and we managed to keep it spreading to any of the rest of us (quarantined her in an upstairs room for a few days).

Sometimes I think the orange foreign asset has some kind of immunity to everything (including accountability). He’s obviously in poor physical shape, in mental decline, but he continues to survive, if not thrive (other than his problem walking on ramps and speaking like someone who is having brain issues).

Also never a bad time for this:

These people were all tested multiple times and then tested for antibodies later. None of them were ever infected.

Some people are naturally immune. Not every died during the plague, either.

For sure. Plague is a bit different being a bacteria. It can multiply on its own.

Could be, Trump is elderly, overweight, has horrible sleep habits, minimal exercise, and an absolutely terrible diet; yet he does seem to be in pretty decent physical health, all things considered. Sometimes genetics wins out, everyone has at least one anecdotal story about a relative who smoked unfiltered Lucky Strikes like a chimney and died after being hit by a bus at age 96.

Unless he wore an N95, a regular mask wouldn't have protected him, but it would have maybe stopped him from spreading COVID to other people around him until the test results came back. Also, if he had required masks for his staff, that might have worked for him, too.
