the beach is more crowded, and people are less likely to wear a mask. Also, the doctors can reschedule and limit the number of appointments. Medical offices are better equipped in terms of safety, too.

I’m pretty sure they are vastly underestimating grocery shopping. You are going to be close to way more people than going shopping at mall for example.

Not where I go, I only see a couple people walking miles down where I go. And then they are a hundred yards from us in the very least. I see bird watchers etc.. with equipment.

I have been to the dentist and the doctor, the dentist has you wait in the car until you are called to go right into the chair. The doctor had a waiting room but it was a big room, split into two sides and I think they said they could only have one person in with the doctor and then one person with a mask on either side of the waiting room.

Yeah I rarely go inside, we have order and pick up, they put it right in the wagon and the Acura has an automatic hatch so I have it open for them and all the workers know to push the cars close button. Works out well. I hope they keep this service forever!

The TX governor mandated masks in all public places, but one area sheriff said that his deputies will not enforce it, nor will he require the deputies to wear a mask. We should have herd immunity and a couple million deaths in no time.

My wife has had to go to the doctor twice over the last few months. Each time she had to go get a drive-up test for COVID before she went in, and was the only person in the clinic other than the person at the counter, nurse, and doctor (all who were in full PPE/behind plexiglass).
Of course it depends on what beach you’re talking about, but if you’re comparing against some of the packed party beaches we’ve seen photos of recently, I’d 100% rather go to a doctors office instead too. Far less stupid to deal with as well.

We do have Stinson Beach, where SF people like to invade. They had the parking area closed for a long time but people would find other places and walk in, it did keep the crowds down. I’m not sure if there was any changes to that lately. I only drive by there, it’s not a good surfing beach. I have never liked crowded beaches in Hawaii or here, I am not really fond of people in general, just a few of them. I like to go out into nature with nobody around.

I don’t even recognize that beach lifestyle, in Hawaii we have beaches you can drive down but locals don’t act like redneck lunatics, they fish and have lunch . I am not there now but I am in NorCal where we have miles of empty beach, I live near here :
