I’ve been helping a bunch of pals create some Dungeons and Dragons characters (specifically Monster of the Week, which is a very easy system for new players and new dungeon masters, which applies to both me and my friends). Started thinking about medieval sports and fantasy events and got to wondering about car jousting. Did a quick google search and wasn’t disappointed.

A commercial for the Toyota Rav4 popped up, with a bunch of guys in funny costumes driving at each other to the tune of classical warfare music. It’s a hoot, and I thought you all would get a kick out of it.

I really want to give D&D a try someday, but all of my friends either have no time, or aren’t interested and there are no local groups. :(

Borsuq actually got me to watch Critical Role once and I was HOOKED and have watched it religiously since....really fun group, very genuine and super entertaining if you have the time to watch it. I’ve only watched Campaign 2 though. I even have a character and basic backstory and everything created, haha! Maybe someday I’ll get to use it...

It’s a fun way to exercise your imagination and such, but it does take a lot of convincing to get folks on board. There are ways to play online, in fact my roommate is a Dungeon Master for a living and all his clients are online. It’s possible, you just have to find someone.

Role20 is a big forum website for this exact thing. Dig around on there and you can find open sessions looking for players. That way you can get your fix.

I really should look into it someday...not sure how I’d do diving into a session with people I d idn’t know well!

You’ll get to know them really quick when you’re thrown into a dungeon fighting dragons or something intense like that.
