What better to do on the 4th of July than peruse Craigslist for the best all American Sports Car, the Corvette. There about 100 on my relatively mundane local Craigslist if I include nearby areas.

!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!

I like this ‘68. The C3s are often remembered for poor build quality and malaise era smog cars that struggled to make 200hp, but I think the early chrome bumper cars look pretty good. This one has a splashy red interior and a clutch. No mention of engine size, but it is a V-8, and probably a small block, which is just fine with me.

Show us what you got, best can be rarest, prettiest, fastest, coolest, your purely subjective one you would like to take home if you were buying a used Corvette today.

I agree with you, this C3 looks great. I think the model is one of the best looking Corvettes, but just need a little hot rodding.

This one, because it’s incredibly vague, and massively overpriced. Early auto C5's are worth 10k in good condition, not in massively unknown condition.  https://hiltonhead.craigslist.org/cto/d/hilton-head-island-1999-corvette-302/7145375940.html

Is it possible to sell both kidneys so I can afford this? A 1965 original fuel injection convertible with a removable hard top.

I quite like this new C3. Orange an saddle brown is a good combo for it. Also manual https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/cto/d/barnesville-1975-chevy-corvette-4-speed/7150997149.html

Altho I like all of this c5 Grand Sport. Altho an ad for a car like this needs way more than 1 picture.  https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/hnp/cto/d/barnesville-1975-chevy-corvette-4-speed/7150997149.html

That's not a half bad GS tribute car. Electron blue isn't quite as pretty as Admiral blue, but not much is.

I also love when people take off the light, strong stock Speedlines, then replace them with weak, heavy Chinese replicas of them instead of just having the stock ones powder coated.

Rebuilt title? Fuck it, if it’s clean and repaired correctly to be straight and true, then I want it so I can mod and hoon it and never had to worry about its value.

Edit: IIRC, the 327ci engines in those ‘68s is a 350ci block but destroked to 327ci using 302 ( ?)ci internals ; a very rev-happy motor for a SBC.

One thing though, the 68 & 69 C3 aren’t in the malaise era if I remember correctly. They are just before it.

https://www.corvettemuseum.org/learn/about-corvette/corvette-specs/1968-corvette-specs/

According to this page the smallest  hp number is 300.

I meant that  in the long run of the C3 production , they may be best remembered for the malaise era cars made in the seventies, but the early ones (not malaise era) are much better looking and have more horsepowers too.

It’s funny. I think the opposite. I feel like everyone forgets about all the model years after the 1969 version because there’s no reason to remember them. Whenever I see a C3 I check the side vents or the fog lights, and if they don’t match up with a 68 or 69 then I dismiss it immediately from my mind.
