That kind of thing happens to fintails a bit these days. Doesn’t offend me too much, as in some cases it may be stanced/bagged or left to rot, or worse:

Still makes me think of a toy car that someone stepped on.

This makes me laugh, but the infowars decal makes me cringe, hopefully there for sarcasm, but I have doubts :

This W110 “drinkingcar” from Sweden speaks of ill treatment - either a significant rear end collision, or structural rot:

Any Wrangler: 1) with this “rar, I’m a mad Jeep!” look (this particular abomination is actually called “Grumper” though there are many variations of constipated Jeep front fasciae); or 2) with giant rims and low profile tires (bonus hate  for fake bead lockers, like this one has ) . Both equally unlikely to ever be seen off-road.

I saw some of these in the mid east, they are like the first car leaning crossovers for luxury cars. They needed some clearance in the desert but didn’t want a truck I guess. No idea if they were converted to AWD/4x4.

Jeeps and lifted trucks are very popular here, as in most places, except I don't know of a single unpaved public road anywhere even remotely near here. I've probably done more mudding than most of them simply by parking on some grass with poor drainage.

Doesn’t get to me, so long as they are messing with previously neglected cars and not chopping up a low mileage preservation piece.

From a financial standpoint, fintail restoration is lunacy, so there are many neglected cars still rotting away.   Better modded than scrapped, to me.

A quick coat of paint can hide a lot of ills.

Yeah, I have seen it on 108/109s and 114/115s. They are all still such relatively low value cars, where beautiful examples struggle to hit 20K, that lesser cars are within reach of those who like mods.

I suppose an airbag system wouldn’t be too hard to reverse.

I’m not sure how much they do to get those idiotic wheels to look like that but it’s probably a lot of work to change back and is someone going to pay for that to keep a classic?

If one can find a wonderfully sorted car with no real needs for 15K, there’s no need to resurrect that one - and that the same time, the builder of the squatting car probably found a neglected example for 3K and turned it into the stance machine . Buy the nicer car to begin with, and smile.

I can deal with slammed stuff, and a little bit of camber, but this kind of modification can not stand. Almost always a mechanically stock automatic

Angry grilles are the worst. Just why? You’ve got one of the most capable off road  vehicles that you can buy and now it has to be angry? The Jeeps that helped to win WWII weren’t angry and they got the job done.

100% this. We’re talking about probably the only vehicle in the world where waving at other drivers of the same vehicle is expected. It was * designed* for doing fun things—off-roading, driving to the beach, taking the doors off —and still a significant number of people  decide theirs needs to look like it’s pissed off for who knows why.

Angry grille and stock height JKU/JLU and its a 99% chance they won’t wave back. Add a lift and a winch and you move into a 50/50 chance of a wave back. But I drive a TJ and I’m pretty sure most, but not all, four door Jeepers just think that two doors means poor. Unless it was a Gladiator and I could keep my TJ I would not go newer. Long live the in line six!
