Well, after 6 1/2 long months of waiting after putting in the order, she’s here:
2020 GT 350 in Velocity Blue , Chassis L0898 . I actually haven’t taken many pics yet because I’ve been busy, but she was delivered last Friday afternoon and Tuesday night I was able to put about 60 miles on her around town and on some nice backroads with my 4 y.o. son (my 5 y.o. son wanted to finish dinner with mom so they stayed back lol) . Through the break-in period I’m only able to take her up to around 4k rpm or so and have only used it up to half throttle but man, this thing is insane! The sounds this machine makes even just cruising at light throttle makes the hair on my arms stand up. I’m in love.
I haven’t even played with all the different drive settings for the suspension, throttle mapping, and steering sensitivity, but just in all Normal modes it feels wired directly to my brain. It still feels surreal.
I’ll work on a review after the break-in period is up and I can really wring it out, but for now I’ll try to answer any questions you guys have.

What are the fundamental differences/improvements of the ‘20 over the earliest versions of these?

That is awesome! I wish I woulda seen this about a half hour ago as I just stopped by Dahl on my way home from work; the guys woulda loved to have seen that pic.
My elders would probably recognize that photo but I wasn’t even born for another eleven years lol. If that’s the same location it’s currently at then that’s impressive because that whole area looks completely different today.
Thanks for posting that!

Thanks! The revisions came for the 2019 model year, and the list is quite extensive so here’s a link that lists everything in the first post:
https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/list-of-changes-to-the-2019-gt350.136944/
The only change for the ‘20 model year over the ‘19s, other than the elimination and addition of colors, is that halfway through the 2020 model year production, the antenna design switched from the clean and low-profile “dome”-style to the obnoxious “shark fin” that you can see on the roof of my car. Apparently SiriusXM revised their antennas to a different design for better recption, resulting in the unfortunate eyesore you see above.
So if anything, seeing the ugly sharkfin will tell you that you’re looking at a later-production 2020 350, and since this is the final year for the 350, you’re looking at one of the last ones.

Honestly, I never drove one before placing my order; I just knew from all the glowing reviews from both testers and owners that I’d have no regrets, and man I have absolutely NONE!
First I looked around all last year for one and didn’t find one EXACTLY how I wanted it, which led to the eventual order placement back in December. I pitched what I was looking for to the Quad-Cities Ford dealers (life-long Davenport resi dent here) and Dahl were the ones with the most favorable numbers, especially considering that many dealers nationwide are still wanting additional markups on these things.
In short, I couldn’t have been happier with eve rything Dahl did for me throughout the whole process fr om start to finish. Absolutely an A+ buying experience with them.

Thanks! After placin g the order in December, it sat in limbo before being pulled by Ford for two months, which is when I got my VIN and estima ted build date, which was supposed to be April 6.
Well, COVID-19 happened and pushed everything back two months, so my bui ld date eventually became June 11th. After the remaining processes and transport, it was then delivered to my dealer last Friday, June 26th.

Thanks! It’s such a deep and vibrant color that changes appearance depending on lighting, position of the sun, etc. It’s just so striking in person.
Oddly enough, it’s the rarest color on the 350's final year of production, and as of right now, is one of only twenty 2020 Gt350s in Velocity Blue; one of three with no stripes from the factory; and one of two with no black roof lol.

I gotta say, with the exhaust valves opened in "Sport" mode, this thing sounds pretty rowdy lol. The only exhaust mod I might eventually do is replace the resonators with an X-pipe, which is how the Rs come from the factory.

Thanks for the link - it’s definitely on my list, and in my ballpark it I need to replace my M3 in the next few years.
My oldest will be 16 in 2.5 years, so once he’s helping to shuttle kids, my option set expands greatly.

Regards from the Davenport Central High C lass of ‘74. We will be down there tomorrow to be with mom and dad and their ‘84 Mercedes...... Too bad about covid otherwise we would be at the about 40th annual street party on Tremont street.
I found this car in La Crosse for m y Dad In La Crosse about 20 years ago. It’s a jem and because of him it is better than ever.

Ps, this is not their house but it is for sale by a friend . It overlooks the lock and dam North of Bettendorf. Built in 1929 near the country club..... Unfortunately it will be probably be bought and torn down to make room for condos. Like the Mercedes, it doesn’t match modern tastes.....

Chassis # H1789 here. Good call on going stripe-less; looks a lot like mine:
I highly recommend removing the clutch pedal return spring as your earliest convenience. It’s a 5-second job and massively improves the pedal feel and linearity. Steeda makes a replacement linear spring if you want, but I’ve been running spring-less for years with no issue.
If you plan to do oil changes yourself (which I recommend, because they are
expensive
), I’ve found that K-MansParts tends to have the best deal. Since yours is a later model, I’m assuming it has the cartridge filter:
https://k-mansparts.com/2017-motorcraft-10qt-5w-50-full-synthetic-oil-change-kit-gt350-detail.htm
For ramps, you’ll need to get the two-stage race ramps, as the splitter will scrape on pretty much anything else. I recommend paying the premium to get the tallest ramps you can, as space is tight under the car, with the full undertray.
Feel free to shoot me a message any time if you have any questions.

So it’s been a couple months, how has it been with the kids? Do you have to transport them often? Do they sit in the back, and how difficult is it to get them back there? My biggest problem would be our 3 year old doesn’t have the strength to buckle herself. Before I got the Veloster N I thought about a used 350 but my wife thinks the stereotypical thought of Bro Mustangs. Do you get that often or are you aware of it? It doesn’t or shouldn’t bother me but I know it’s there.
