I took the two sides of my old grill and slapped them together with some self tappers to make this portable burner for camping.

Nice! That will prove quite useful.  I use my coleman propane stove a ton when camping.

Yeah I’ve got this tiny grill I’ve been using but it just doesn’t cut it for boiling water for coffee and most of the time I’ve just got a skillet on it. I’m guessing this’ll do 90% of the cooking and I’ll maybe set up the grill for searing meat .

Thats cool. Hopefully it’s better than the side-burner on my grill. It mostly just turns my pots black, but it’s great for starting coal in my coal chimney! It’s been very helpful this week as a leak was detected in my gas range and the repair guy has been very slow (supposed to be fixed today). Been using my old Coleman camp stove and a dutch oven to make meals this week.

That’s awesome! The only thing I have is a coffee mug that plugs into the car’s cig lighter, and it’ll warm stuff up like soup, but it certainly won’t boil anything, so no pasta for me.

I’ve got one of these for when I go camping with a group and plan on actually cooking.

It’s probably 15 years old but has no problem getting hot enough to cook on.

It worked pretty well on the grill so I imagine it’ll work just as well in this configuration. Anyways it’ll be better than my tiny p or table grill at making coffee.

I bet you could warm up some canned ravioli in that bad boy.

good deal! I always carry around a white gas single burner whenever I put my “case of usefulness ” in the car.  I haven’t used it, but then I haven’t really had a need just yet.  My morning brew is a Dewdriver (diet mt dew and orange juice)

I was previously rocking this bad boy

Kinja'd!!!

It works for everything I’ve asked of it except making a big pot of coffee.

I like the built-in griddle , t hat’s nice. I just carry a skillet in the tub with the stove for cooking on.

I eschewed the griddle in favor of a ci skillet. It is 100% better.
