1972 Porsche Cayenne, or...
1977 Toyota Prius?
(art by D utch artist Ruben Ooms. Yes, he has more of these things )

Prius, because louvres.
Cayenne makes me want to reach for the brain bleach and some low coilovers. Kind of like a Type 3 and a 911 had a love child but it was raised by a Thing.

I had to pass a beat to shit Toyota Prius on a dirt road in the middle of the desert today. Definitely going with the ‘72 Cayenne.

I’ll take the Cayenne Kermit edition.

Couldn’t have said it better myself. I actually kinda like it though. It’s just the right amount of goofy, absurd, and I want to see it rally racing soooooo bad! As for the Prius, I’m disturbed by how much I like it...

I’m firmly among the Porschefiles for once. That is a new set of tires away from beach blanket bingo with a set of Gerry Lopez “Bolts” stuck in the sand next to it.

Cayenne because it’s feasible. ‘77 Prius has no batteries and doesn’t work.

That Porsche DS needs to have its hydropneumatics taken out of “ tire change” setting.

I will probably go for a non-Porsche DS Coupé :
Or a SM group 5 in teal :

Ever seen the Briggs and Stratton hybrid car concept from 1980? It seems to have worked well enough. It even appeared on an episode of Jay Leno’s Garage. With a slightly more powerful ICE, I imagine a mid-seventies Prius could have been technologically feasible if not particularly great by today’s standards...

Honestly if this had hydropneumatic suspension, that would make it even more epic.

That statement is universally true.

Porsche all the way. If anything I’ve heard about them is true it feels and handles better than it has any right to. Even if I hated it I could stick it in storage for a few decades, drag it out and retire because for some reason it’s value has doubled

Indeed.

That Prius gives me Pontiac Aztek vibes and I’m kind of digging it, but the Porsche is stylish and looks a lot more like my personal dream car (Volkswagen Squareback).

Man that Cayenne is hot.

A wise internet person once said... “It’s like a 911 and a VW Beetle had a lovechild, and it was raised by a VW Thing”.

I have seen that car, and that’s sort of what I meant. The power and range is abysmal. I guess that was fairly true of many 70s cars, and it probably would still serve shorter trips. Maybe it could have helped with that 70s fuel c
