Do you ever see a car or truck that you may not necessarily find all that interesting as a vehicle, but you stare at it anyway because the color is just WOW?
While everyone was complaining about the new Blazer not de serving its name, were you just staring at the pretty orange in awe?
Have you ever found a Honda’s Aegean Blue paint to be oddly calming in its sheer beauty?
What are your favorite paint colors?

I’d like to say my favorite color is green, but statistically...
Green cars: 1
Red cars: 5
Blue cars: 1
Grayish cars: 2
Black cars: 1
I guess I like red.
Edit, I forgot a car. 2 blues.

Mmm that last blue is lovely. The top green is nice, too.

I really liked the green Toyota had on the Corolla as of a few years ago, ever car should offer this.
That brown/bronze color Chrysler used to offer on the 300 was pretty good, too.

I’m keen on any shade of purple pearl, including any of Nissans midnight purples:

I have genuinely enjoyed driving three cars. My own Geoff, a reddish orange beauty, my dad’s green 02 Tundra, and my brother’s old rocketship of a gray 06 V6 Mazda6.
There is a correlation here.
What I really like are cars where the metallic flake makes it look substantially different in different lighting. Like my own car, but I’ve bombarded y’all with enough pictures.
Yellow and green look great together. fight me.
G R E E N is the best color.
The Germans do it well.
So do the Americans
So do the French. It’s hard to make a bad green while keeping the yellow content down.

I usually go for blue or red. There are certain greens I can go with and yellow on certain cars, but as a rule red or blue is what I will usually choose.

Haha makes it a little easier being green. Prius C doesn’t have the right “green” in mind behind it.
What I really want is this metal flake (my own car, which is occasionally accused, as if it is a bad thing, of being brown).
On a green car/truck.
Imagine that!
I remember an FP article about a similar BMW paint but I can’t find any mention of it on the internet.

Porsche Rainforest Green,
Honda North Beach Blue
Mazda Soul Red
BMW Technoviolet, or Porsche Clematis Metallic.
McLaren Volcano Orange (the deep metallic one, although Papaya orange is their trademark)
Ford Oxford White (with blue accents or stripes)
Lotus Motorsport Green
Aston Martin DBR9 Racing Green
Ferrari Blue Sera and/or Tour De France Blue (two different colors, 348 here is Sera )
Ice blue/Azzuro (various manufacturers have used variants it)
Porsche Petrol Blue (classic),
Lapis Blue (996/986), Cobalt, Aqua, and now their new Gentean Blue...
I tend to like the metallic/pearlescent colors, rather than just the glossy non-metallic colors... and something a bit more rare than the grabber tones.

I’m quite partial to red. While sports cars always look good in primary red, any car can look good in *some* shade of red.
In an ideal world, I’d love a dark cherry-like
red Jag
, but in the real world I prefer a low-key colour for a daily
driver
with
a luxury label
. I might be willing to go for dark red on something more pedestrian, though.

The two Skoda current colours. The blue is fantastic in the sunlight (like most blues), the colour comes alive.

White...all our cars are white. Not many modern designs make the most of the colour.
I’d love to have a coloured car but most of these shades don’t survive long when parked in the open in the Australian sunshine...and they cost a fortune to repair.

B

A

Speaking of Chevy, why the hell did they put such a nice green on the Equinox?
But also shout out to Lexus for this green
and for having the bluest blue.

I’m a big fan of light blue, especially on classics.
Whether it’s on true classics
Or total crapshoots
The main reason is because the car I grew up in was a light blue Nissan Rogue (not a picture of my mom’s car, and I’m not exactly sure what year it was, but it was light blue and that’s what matters).

Green. Specifically metal flake, and pearl. I mean, it’ s not like the RAV4 is a pretty car, but I couldn’t not stare at this color.

Very sad. You do see a few around in that color though which is good. I guess if you’re going for the weird cooler 2-door Golf you’re not the type to get a boring color
