Just a nifty craigslist find, no affiliation with the seller. I’ve always been curious about the Paceman/Countryman. Even though they’re the biggest Minis, they’re still basically Golf-sized.

Sorry if my sarcasm radar is off:
2013 Countryman: 162" x 70" x 62"
2013 Golf: 165" x 70" x 58"
2013 X1: 177" x 71" x 61"

I’m just joking, but they are the same car with some modification, it does look like they chopped it a bit to make it more mini!

Doesn't that use the joint BMW/Renault engine that is for all intents and purposes a timed grenade and boat anchor in waiting?

That’s true only for the latest generation. The last-gen X1 was RWD (which was awesome), and was based on the contemporary e90 3 series . Come to think of it, I should be looking at X1's instead!

Yep, possible the least reliable vehicle made in the last couple of decades.

Yeah, the original X1 was RWD based and you could get the 3 liter turbo 6 in it. Sweet car, though the interior was pretty basic, and no manual in the US.

If you want one, go through a dealership and get an extended power train warranty

If it’s a 2013 like the ad says it has the N18 which is a decently reliable engine. It’s 2007-2010 models with the N14 which are to be avoided like the plague.

I've seen like two Pacemans a year. Surprisingly rare.
