I don’t get the thing with putting wheels from another marque and keeping the wheel centres/hubs from that marque.

Changing the wheels I get, but most change the centres to those of the car wearing them.

It’s a common thing with certain car enthusiasts. When I went to a German car fest. There was a whole clique of them with VWs, Audis, Porsches, etc... all wearing wheel centres from other VAG marques.

Not just a U.K. thing.

small round ones i don’t understand why they do it, but some are a weird shape. so my guess is they keep them as there is no other option
