Drove the Sunbird to a small family event tonight (per my three-year-old son’s request) and a pretty crazy thunderstorm followed us home.
Aside from some wipers that are streaky from never being used (I seriously avoid driving this car in the rain if I can), she did great. New tires certainly helped.
We even hit a small flash flood that I didn’t see until it was too late. Jolene is tough. And, this car is such a base model that it doesn’t have intermittent wipers.
And no, new baby didn’t come. Mom stayed home with her. :-)
She also gets to spend the night outside tonight since the backyard is too wet to drive to the shed.

Yo, how annoying is a streaking windshield!? The wipers on the 02 are so slow that I just use rainx and leave them off.

RainX is nice regardless of the merits of your wipers.

Aw man my Audi did that right off the lot. Honestly it’s how I knew the blades were starting to go on that car. It seemed like the arms just clamped too dammed hard onto the windshield.

My uncle brought his bird by for a quick look over. It hasn’t seen rain since the 90s. He only gets it out a few times a year.
