...but nowhere to go.

Took my ( company’s) truck in for its 30k mile service after the oil life sensor was bugging me for about a week. While it was there, they recommended new tires as they always do at those types of places. I told them to call the service company and sort it out with them. I was hoping it would get approved because they were getting a little low and it’s not my money. Good news, though, they shop called me yesterday, said the new tires were approved, and they could have my truck back in an hour. So I dropped it off and rode my bike home for lunch. They called me back right after an hour and said the truck was ready. Probably the best tire shop experience I’ve had.

Bigly

Anyways, with all the maintenance up to date, and fresh rubber, I really want to go on a little trip (personal use is 100% allowed). Nothing I want to do is really open and the friends I would meet are not available. Oh well, maybe I’ll venture to Costco this evening.

Mmm, I miss Yosemite. T he new online passes sell out immediately at 7am. Just FYI, if you’re thinking of it.  My wife and kids have made quick trips up to that area twice in the last two weeks and it’s killing me being stuck at work. The mountains are calling and I must go. Hope you get out for a trip somehow!

That is good to know. I honestly figured it was closed or at such limited capacity, it wouldn’t be worth a trip. I wanted to make it back this summer but oh well.

I might drive up to your neck of the woods in the near future. Not sure if it would be a hike, bike, or just to go for a drive. We have great hiking and bike trails down here, but they seem crowded on the weekends. Plus, I like going somewhere to hike. If I'm still in the LA area, it just doesn't feel the same to me, even if the views are great. I need some physical distance from LA every once in a while haha

I have only been once but it is beautiful! I wanted at least one Yosemite trip this summer but that appears to still be canceled haha

Yosemite is actually doing this pretty smartly with a reservation system and closing a couple campgrounds.

I had a friend that took a short trip there last week and said with the reduced visitor population it was better than ever!

These are the squeegee s I bought. Best technique ever for a dirty windshield. It scrapes all the crap away and takes the effort out of it.

Sweet, thanks! Adding them to my next amazon order. What glass cleaner did you use?

Oh what a tough question.

I switch between three different cleaners, depending on what’s around me.

The one I use the most, and have the most of is Gtechniq G6.

I also have a few bottles of Gyeon Glass.

But I think my favorite may actually be Sonax Glass Cleaner for super gross windows.

You would be fine with any of them. All of them can be found at DetailedImage.com where I have a wholesale account and can do drop shipments for you if you want to get some detailing stuff. I recommend keeping a detailing go bag in the car. I tend to keep my chemicals in this bag , and some towels in this bag .
