Yep. Today I scored 35 POUNDS of Lego for $25. FB Marketplace FTW there.

Kinja'd!!!

I hope all the Oppo dad s had a happy Father’s Day. I sure did!

It actually got even better. My wife gave me a new RC truck.

Kinja'd!!!

I have already given it a round of backyard bashing. It’s a quick and tough little bugger. My daughters got decent cheap ones so we could all play together.

Also this was dinner. So yeah, damn fine day!

Nicely done!

I woke up to chocolate chip pancakes and Mass on YouTube. My daughter gave me the gift of loading up my digital frame with 1100 family pics. I got to go in a nice bike ride, and this was waiting for me when I got back. Fajitas with all the fixings.  My kid has a natural talent for grilling it seems.

Kinja'd!!!

So good Father’s Day for me too.

Cool haul on the legos.  My church rummage sale usually prices LEGO’s about $1.00 a 1/2 pound.  I grilled up an awesome steak, kielbasa and salmon for dinner.

$2/pound is still a good price!

That stuff is expensive. I have all my legos in storage, it’s like a half size garbage can full. Kits are all mixed up. I think a pirate ship is mostly together in it somewhere.

That’s a great deal. I got some lego on ebay last year and it was about 4x that price. I use lego for making molds. A little clay and some lego makes a great custom size/shape mold box.

$25 for 35lbs of LEGO! That’s a steal! I see some non LEGO bricks and stuff in there, but still a darn good price.

Steak and potatoes is good too :)

Plus the box is probably worth something too.

That was actually ours

The seller wanted to keep her bins. I wasn't about to argue at that price :)

What, did they just dump them in your trunk? Scoop them up loose in and dump them in the driver's footwell? How did the bricks get from a bin to no bin to a bin?

Ooh, nice! The little yellow car thing in the bucket and the funky orange thing next to it appear to be bits of a McDonalds Lego happy meal toy from a few years back... I have a couple of them and while they are compatible with regular Lego, they’re only three pieces so not the most interesting builds. Still kinda interesting though. I’m sure you’ll have lots of fun discovering what all is in that bin ;)

No, she told me before I came that she wanted to keep her bins, so I brought an empty one of our own to dump them into.

We went through most of the bin today. There were probably 3 pounds or so of Mega Blocks/K’nex/etc, and maybe half a dozen Hot Wheels mixed in there. Still a great score!

The meal was fantastic!

I tossed those in a bin for the kids :)

We went through most of the bin today. Not sorted by any means, but there is a LOT of good stuff!

I usually see bulk Lego for $6-8 a pound.

That is a huge LEGO score. I stopped buying them for my kids as he doesn’t really play with them much, Usually if he’s playing inside it’s with his hot wheels

My kids love them, and I still play with them too. This was very much a family present :)
