Thats a beauty... If it were a trooper or a 4x4 in that shape, they’d get what they are asking, but at 2wd, I doubt it.
I’ve been wrong a few times though.
Interestingly I have found in my 4d56 search, you can get those motors, just like the Mitsub ishis , new from China. They are aftermarket, but brand new.

I’m going to guess that somebody bought this truck thinking they could flip it for a significant profit. It looks like they have spent a lot of time making it look good on the outside and cleaning up the cab. However, it doesn’t look like anything was done under the hood and there is some questionable wiring in the engine bay.
It’s the classic assumption that you can sell a vehicle for what you paid for it, plus what you put into it, plus some profit margin.
CP all the way.

That is the crackiest of crack pipes. I drove a couple of these back in the ‘80s when I worked for a VW dealership, albeit gasoline versions. The one with the manual was slow and cheap, then they took that and gave me one with an autotragic, and it was a slow POS. I can’t imagine that the diesel, even with a turbo, was any better.
These things are great pieces of nostalgia for someone that has never driven one...

Only because it's 2wd though. If it were 4wd some #overlander would buy this up post it all over their insta, I'm sure.
