I legit saw a Pontiac Bonneville 5.7 Diesel yesterday. In Minnesota. I almost had a stroke. It was in meh condition, but still running!

My grandfather had a ‘78 about 13 years ago. Wasn’t a diesel though. We borrowed it after my Dad couldn’t keep his ‘03 Ram (This was around when the economy tanked of course). I think he got it from a relative in Kentucky, but I was 8 so I’m not sure
M y aunt killed it. It was already rusty anyway.

Are you sure it hadn’t been LS-swapped?

I actually really love this generation of Panther, save for one thing: no coupe. The previous gen had a coupe version (maybe only available as a Mercury, I’m not quite sure?) and a two-door look was sexy as hell. But as a child of the 80s, I love me the boxy look, and this Panther was the perfect box! Ninety-degrees everywhere, yet also very “slick” looking.
Granted, the old Windsor was a bit of a turd, but my understanding is that swapping a Modular into these was pretty common.

My neighbor was still dailying an LTD Crown Victoria as late as last year. I think she just gave up driving because I suspect it was just put in the garage now. The baby paint and vinyl roof, despite always being kept outside, was far nicer than it has any right to be.

Yeah, but the men in black car had a rowdy V8 in it. This one most assuredly does not. If it has a V8, it's probably about 110 horsepower.
