now that is a very good question

im assuming the original american settlers drove it there.....then it broke down...then they all died of dysentry and a forest grew around them

facw is right —a construction company building roads in the area towed a couple of surplus Fairbanks city buses out there to serve as cheap camps in the ‘60s. They abandoned them--or at least, abandoned this one-- rather than tow them back out again.
