Good work. The black body panel kinda looked better from these pictures. Was it straight bondo, rust, and hope holding it together?

I had already straightened and re-built most of it but decent factory sheet metal is still much better.
This quar ter was put on this car in about 1966 (My customer was a kid in the bac kseat when it got hit) and the used a nasty used panel at the time. I spent quite a bit of time making the bottom 6 inches of this car by hand (I’m pretty handy at it but there are limits. Re- doing it will get this guy a better chance of driving his dad’s car this decade.

well, because this car is in ‘unrepairable’ condition and they don’t make parts, it sort of gives you licence to try stuff and see what sticks. That would’ve worked but the parts car panels will be worth cutting out all that work. This was customer’s dad’s last car, he was a little kid in it and the old man drove it from 1964 till 2007 year round, in Canada.
