Today got the all of the exterior panels of the 68 C10 covered in blue paint. Super happy with finally getting this thing painted. Now to bring it home and cut and buff the paint and then start putting it all back together.
Here are the pictures from through out the day painting.

It could be Med. Blue, I had an Olive Metallic C10 years ago.

Dumb question, but do the bedsides bolt on? I’ve only ever seen beds welded up as one piece. I know you’re not gonna weld after paint.

Is there a brand paint you use? Like Eastwood and what kind of sprayer?
I am eventually going to repaint my S-10 and want to learn all I can about vehicle painting.

I think all the 60's Chevy/GMC beds are bolted together. There was some welding, how much depended on if it the bed floor was metal or wood. On a metal floor like my truck there is only a couple of tack welds. On a wood floor there is bit more welding to make it more solid.

Yes its a factory 67/68 color called Medium Blue Poly. It has a lot of metallic. There was another medium blue in C10s but it didnt contain the metallic. We had a medium blue 72 C10 that looked good but didnt have the sparkle

I used PPG Omni for this truck, on the 71 C10 my grandfather built we used paint Napa sells, both sprayed well and laid down well. As for a sprayer I couldnt tell you, its an old unit my grandfather bought over 15 years ago. It is a gravity feed style though.
