Not sure if y’all heard about the dad who drove his pickup over Sunset Cliffs with his two year-old twin daughters inside. It’s a sad story but thankfully the girls will make it. A CCTV !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! has surfaced on our local Point Loma FB group and a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! was started for the girls recovery. If anyone is feeling generous, the girl’s mom would be very grateful for the help.

Both the girls are in stable condition at a local hospital. They will need assistance for future unplanned doctors visits etc. until they recover from the trauma as well as a team to get justice to keep their father in custody so this never happens again.
sounds like he unfortunately survived.

Not sure why someone would post that video, I guess because no fatalities.
I wish there was continued video of the officer who rappelled down and rescued them. Plenty of bad-cop stories lately, nice to read a happy outcome because of his quick action.
The first to arrive at the side of the cliff, San Diego Police Department K9 Officer Jonathan Wiese, said he saw the truck had landed upside-down on a rock in the water below.
“I have a two-year-old daughter at home so I imagined, what if that was my wife and kid down there? You’re not going to stand there on the cliff and watch it happen,” Wiese told KGTV .
Remembering he had a 100-foot leash in the back of his patrol car from SWAT missions, Weise said he quickly removed his gun belt, tied the tether around his waist, “and by then, four or five other cops had shown up, so I pretty much threw the end of the leash to them and then I said, ‘hang on,’ and I just jumped off.”

There was a discussion in the FB thread about that. Basically the motivation was about driving people to the Go Fund Me. If someone died in the crash, o bviously posting a video would be in bad taste but in this case I think it makes sense.
