Full circle, GM turboed the Buick 215. Sold the design to Rover. TVR used it. This guy turboed it.

Also full circle on the reliability f ro nt. GM gave up on the 215 beca u se they couldn’t solve its problems. Rover solved them  in the 60s (P5s are very relia b le) but then BL launch ed a quest to find eve ry possible w ay to make it unreliable again . TVR took that to the next level by hopping it up to wit hin an inch of its life then building it   in a shed. A nd it’s a pretty sa f e assumption this guy hasn’t exa ctly improved things .

As more Chimaeras hit the 25 year rule for import to the US, they might make a nice RHD companion to my Pajero.  Aside from RHD, the cars would be polar opposites in just about every way.  Between two 25 year old import cars, one ought to be working on any given day to get me to work, right?

That being said, this would likely be far from the “scariest” car I’d been behind the wheel of in terms of power/torque:weight.
