Tuesday morning, time to get to work.
These guys are working on the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , built by the Davis-Douglas Company. Donald Douglas, aircraft designer and founder of Douglas Aircraft, is the man with the mustache and dark jacket in the back of the fuselage.
Here’s what the Cloudster looked like when it was finished. Powered by a 12-cylinder Liberty engine, it was the only aircraft built by Davis-Douglas and was designed to fly across the country. It tried and failed to make the cross country flight in 192 1, was subsequently modified to carry 10 passengers, and was damaged beyond repair in 1926. Davis left the company after the failure of the cross country flight, and Douglas went on to make aviation history.

I read about Canada’s supersonic fighter this morning. You would probably enjoy the article.

9,600 pounds gross , according to Wiki. Douglas also made a Cloudster II, and like its predecessor, just one was built . This five-seat pusher only made two flights before it was abandoned due to its high cost and teething problems.
