My friend likes Lego and, like Ttyymmnn, is gathering all of his kits together, though in Ken's case, he's enlisting the services of a boy from down the street.

I have the Technic Ferrari in that last photo. My son would love to hang out at this guy’s house.

Nice! That’s some serious horsepower you’ll be putting down now.

If I can find a beater box to host the 1060, I ought to be able to fold 1.5M or more PPD.

And thanks to you guys, I have an Acer I 5-9400 16G, GTX 1660 6G on the way. Much appreciate the Oppo assist!
Sold off my LEGO ~5 years ago. 435k pieces, mostly Technic. Don’t miss them (much) as I live on a boat now. Occasionally walk down the LEGO aisle at Wally’s and get something to build then bag for the local Maker shed.

I should do an Oppo LEGO show n tell. If anyone is interested.
Go through my favorite sets, when I got them, a story if there is one, etc.

Love the sandcrawler! I got this guy for my birthday last week. I think the scale works nicely with the caterham set.

I just bought a used Caterham set a couple days ago! Always wanted it and I finally got one. Gotta wait until the weather’s decent to photograph it with birds, though. Lego cars are wonderful things.

I keep seeing pictures of people’s fancy sorting methods and neatly organized bins and tidy work tables... And then I just go and rummage through my random piles of Lego on the floor ;) I’d organize it, but then I wouldn’t know where anything is... Just evenly disperse it EVERYWHERE. This is probably why I have a bad habit of staring at my feet wherever I go...

Oof - it looks like JMKarstetter is also shut down for now . He hasn’t put in a work unit in 8 days...
Summer is here with a vengance. I’ll eventually have to shut down my workstation for folding but the server with it’s RX 5700 and the GTX 1050 will stay folding close to 24/7 so I should be able to continue to put down ~1 million a day for the duration.
There are still several Oppo s putting down serious numbers and you about to put in a substantial upgrade. I think we’ll hopefully stay about 15 million PPD for the next bit.

Talked to the recruiter on Wednesday and she said they hope to have an answer by mid this week. They’ve definitely kicked the can on this position and a decision with me a few times so we’ll see. I’m still optimistic but being realistic .
They said there will be like 6 months for relocation for the position as they’ll all be WFH through the end of the year anyway. That being said if I get the offer in the next few weeks here probably August/September we’ll want to move. Rent prices are down a bit out there and that’s tempting to take advantage of.

If you were willing to sign a lease, you might have some bargaining leverage.
