I called the M organ dealer and talked to their mechanic. After describing what my situation was h e said , “Don’t work on the car angry. Only do this when you and the car are ready to work together.” He is also Italian and I appreciated the accented advice.

I followed the wiring and found the bullet connectors. Some of them stayed in the plug some didn’t so I’ll need to get more connectors and plugs.

I asked him what the torque specs on the suspension bolts are. He answered , “T ight” . I asked how tight until he gave me a number and then told me to make sure it all looks straight when you put the car backwards k together so you know if you’re aligned or not. Then threw in to add loc-tite. The light bar also ties the front end together and the whole thing makes me laugh. Enjoy some crazy town pictures.

These need to be tight, and aligned, and with a good attitude he said that is all possible.

I usually start working on my car in a good mood, then it gets worse, then slightly better, then slightly worse, and lastly agonizing fear while on a test drive. Is that the proper procedure?

You forgot the brief interlude  of rage, self-hatred, and existential dread right before “slightly better.” Or maybe that’s just my process.

I love that Morgan of yours!

That is excellent advice from the mechanic - and it’s how I treat my old Honda bike.  Sometimes it punishes me when I work on it frustrated or angry.

It starts with optimism then transitions to pure rage followed by lunch. Then cooler heads prevai l  and you go back to just below boiling.

I usually go from happy, to hopeless, to angry, to scared to cold and tired when I inevitably wrap up at 2am.

Edit: Always after I say something like “Don’t worry baby, it will take an hour tops.  Easy peasy” to my wife
