I successfully completed a project!
After and before. This bike was $600 in “wrecked, then stolen, then recovered” condition. 2013 Ninja 300. It’s an absolute riot to ride.

Watched the series, subscribed a little while ago.
Good stuff.
I liked your willingness to leave things simple and raw, and just get it road worthy and rideable, without succumbing to the push to restore the bike, and spend money on finish work beyond functionality.
The orange pops, but unfortunately makes the fairing tabs and fairing underlap surface more obvious than the black... but it fits with the un-finished tail and raw street-fighter look. Almost more like a scrapper than a developed fighter.

The headlight looks like it was made for it, and honestly, the rattle can job turned out much better than I expected.

Turned out quite well! Only thing I would’ve done differently is to get some actual turn signals from online....Ebay, or Amazon or something like this...still pretty cheap, still the cool switchback sequential, but more surface area to make them more visible

I just worry the ones you have on there aren’t noticeable enough to other drivers, but I haven’t seen them in person, so who am I to say.
Love the orange tank! That turned out great! :D

I’m debating painting the underlap area black.

I thought that too, but I think it would make the tank look smaller and higher...
What it needs is some cowls, to blend from the tank forward to frame the radiator sides... sort of like a BMW K75 or something.
Even looking at the stock fairings, the lines are not cohesive or organized, and don’t really lend that, so cutting a rashed set wouldn’t even pull that off...
It would almost need to be done with making some forms, and molding some composite sheet material into that sort of shape.
But that is going a bit beyond the basics, which is part of the coolness of your minimalistic reconditioning.
Of course, a half fairing would not go amiss... and your other bike, the Ducati SS, is one of the greats, and the half-faired version SS-CR is the prime object-lesson in how to do a half-fairing correctly, mounted low over the front tire, and wrapping back to the tank.
