For what it’s worth, I am not concerned. There is way too much money there. I’ve worked downtown on an off for 25 years and honestly it is better now than it ever has been even with the covid19. Yes, there is a resident homeless population but there always has been, (in many cases, it’s the same people,) which I know is unsettling for some folks, (including some of the folks I work with,) but that honestly stems from having so much of the support programs down there, (rather than away from the core as in many other cities.)

The trash who invaded Snohomish were displaying loser flags and white power symbols, too - closer to actual KKK than many might want to admit in this state. And for as much as I’ll mock the sometimes parentally-funded kidults in the city, the brave tough warriors with their AKs and bluster also seem to have a knack for being attached to mommy and daddy, too.

Shame the dumbfuck Snohomish police chief was only demoted - should have been shitcanned with a forfeited pension.

Agreed. They ventured into Kirkland to “protect property” they were met with many of Kirklands finest (some I know) who promptly told them get out of the city and never come back. Then they escorted them to 405.

They were in Bellevue too, IIRC the truck that was burned near 106th and NE 1oth was one of these types who ditched it to “defend” a strip mall or something. What a loss. Not sure what message the Bellevue PD gave to the uninvited invaders (to be fair, the local PD could have been more proactive against the looters, it was no secret this was coming, but maybe they didn’t want to incite more trouble), but I hope it was a similar “go away and never come back”. For a couple days after the looting, there seemed to be more brotruck traffic than usual, idiots looking for a fight.

I wouldn’t worry too much. I walked by an hour ago on my way to get some icecream. The police station is at the end of the block on the left in this photo .

Just seemed like business as usual besides some protesters, a couple of closed roads and a bunch of people painting BLM murals in various places. There were still patrol cars driving around, as well as a few unmarked, but obviously police cars parked kinda close.

The worst thing I saw was the windows of our local Ferrari dealership that got smashed, which is a bummer. The cars in the back lot seemed safe when I looked through the fence . The dealership is literally a block away from the whole thing though.

If you’re gonna hold a gun and put your bullshit up front at the same time, it’s a literal threat to the community. The difference is, on livestream I’ve seen this turkey attack two people already. In contrast, the white supremacists haven’t started anything to date apart from supposedly holding a march two nights ago with designs on Cal Anderson (which is starting to be suspected as a disinfo/manipulation op by Seattle PD over the police scanner).
