Dremel saw blades.

Kinja'd!!!

I wanted a quality set, so I ordered the paper thin ones that were made in xcan.

Kinja'd!!!

These things are terrifying. I don’t recommend that anyone put a saw blade in their Dremel. My wife got me this drill press thingy, so I don’t have to worry about the Dremel bouncing around.

Kinja'd!!!

It’s still terrifying. Don’t buy Dremel saw blades. Get these fiber boards instead.

Kinja'd!!!

They’ll cut through anything you’d be trying to cut with a Dremel.

Kinja'd!!!

If you have a big piece of wood, maybe you should just grab a saw.

Kinja'd!!!

Also you can accidentally hit your fingers a bit with the fiber disc’s, which I do all the time. You cannot accidentally hit your fingers with saw blades spinning at crazy Dremel speeds.

In closing. If you enjoy a good blood splatter, get the saw blades. If you like your fingers, don’t.

You cannot accidentally hit your fingers with saw blades spinning at crazy Dremel speeds.

That sounds like a challenge!

But yes, I will take your review under advisement, these do seem more the a little dangerous for a whole bunch of reasons.

I’ve been learning some things about what to do and what not to do with my routers. Trying to use a trim router to cut a small slot in a small piece was a bad idea, even with the router firmly clamped in my workbench. When it grabbed the piece and split it in two, it very nearly caught my thumb.

Now I have even more  respect for small spinning things designed to cut.

I'm accident prone anyway. Our garage first aid kit gets a lot of use

A dremel with a fiber blade is about the most useful tool I can imagine. An added benefit is that it is small and can work in tight places. And they will cut anything. One time at the track, somebody asked for a bolt cutter because they forgot their trailer keys. I lent him my dremmel and a battery box with an inverter. 2 minutes later, problem solved.

Those look a lot like slitting saws. Such a thing is hard to use with precision on a Dremel. Slitting saws are great for cutting a slit/slot/channel of particular width and depth, most often using a milling machine. Why you might want one on a rotary tool, I’m not sure.

Reminding me of that time I lost my grip on the Rotozip while it was loaded with a full size plunge cut router bit. I escaped unscathed but easily could have gotten caught by it on it’s way towards the ground, if you get my gist. It was a close one. Pretty sure that’s the only time in my life I’ve done anything resembling a twerk, and I backed that ass up like I meant it.

I've been amazed at all the uses I've found for it.

Those look absolutely terrifying!  I’ll take a fiber cutoff wheel in a grinder or in my dremel over that anyday.

metal blade with teeth spinning at 10000 RPM, yes thats a bit dangerous. Probably cut thru bone too.

Nothing about it screams precision. It screams for a first aid kit

God am I careful with one though. I always think carefully about where it could launch to. Especially around my wrists. It’s mortal threat ranks right up there with a light saber.....

I go through quite a lot of those fiber disks. They are extremely useful things.
