How my google results look right now

I can’t seem to find any info out there on why this looks this way. I also really don’t like it.

How results used to look

I don’t know if it was a chrome update, or a setting changed etc. Anyone know?

Specs: Win 10, Chrome Version 83.0.4103.97 (Official Build) (64-bit)

UPDATE:
People said this may be because I am in a Google test group. So I signed out of my Google account and reloaded the same search and it went back to the non boxed option. So yup, Google decided to place me in a test group without asking or informing. Thanks

Not sure how comfortable you are with script changes, but here’s a thread on the Google user support forum with some stuff people have come up with. Just go down to the last half dozen or so posts.

There’s also a Google extension you can install. I haven’t tested it though (and probably will not from my work-owned computer), but you could try it if you’re feeling frisky.

OK...I’m confused...that looks normal to me, i t just looks like normal search results because you searched Google in Google....?

If I go to www.google.ca it looks like this? Is that what you mean?

The only thing I see different is a box groupin g a particular result?

Haven’t actually used Google as my primary search engine for quite some time, so not sure how it should look.

Yup that is what is wrong. It does weird things when looking at the screen
