So I thought I should do them...
About what I was expecting really. I paid similar amounts last year and the only real change is that I’m made a bit more money in 2019.
This year I’m pretty sure I actually paid Massachusetts, as opposed to last year where I thought I did but apparently hadn’t and thus got a random $360 bill later in the year.

Tax rates haven’t changed since last year, really. Your total income vs total tax paid is really the most important point of comparison

Same here, I had roughed out my taxes back in February, but then they granted the extension, so....

Massachusetts has extended their deadline to 7/15 so I was tempted to procrastinate further, but since the federal stuff still had to be done, I figured there was little point in delaying just the state.
Next up on government things I’ve been ignoring due to the pandemic is my vehicle inspection, which is due by the end of the month (at least as of when I checked a few days ago, though it’s a bit weird they’ve extended March and May inspections until the end of July, but my April inspection is still due by June 30th)

Paid our with our stimulus check. Exactly the opposite of their intention. Luckily in TX we have no state income tax.

I will admit I liked that about living in Texas. Not so much due to the money (though that’s a nice bonus), but it always felt good to finish with the Federal stuff and then be like “oh right, I’m done!” I don’t like doing my taxes...

I paid mine back in February. Ouch. Using the stimulus money to go through bankruptcy.

Yup! I’ve done them with Turbo Tax, in person at HR Block and pen and paper. Its so easy without needing state taxes. At this point, even owning property, house and investments , turbo tax is stupid easy.
