Ummmm... it’s a gecko?
Nahhhh.... I’m reasonably sure it’s juvenile Eastern Spiny-tailed Gecko (Strophu rus williamsi). Flamin’ things are everywhere at the moment because they are trying to ride out the winter in our various wood piles...and they are apparently fans of returning to the same spots each winter.

They are very cool. Both figuratively and literally (at the moment). And about as aggressive as a box of tissues...

I remember the first time I found a gecko in my apartment in Houston. I had never seen one before and I didn’t know what to do about it. I did nothing, and my cockroach problem got much better.

I’ve taken the same approach with spiders, though they’ve not been keeping up their end of the bargain WRT stink bugs. Then again, neither are the cats.
